The Water Company (‘TWC’) is an investment consortium based in The Hague (The Netherlands), focused on the initiation, facilitation and completion of transactions with particular focus on making and actively managing innovations and direct investments in water process companies.
We’re initiating game changers, scaling up, seeking investment opportunities and acquiring companies in the water process industry: EBITDAs > 0.5 million euros with (substantial) growth potential, worldwide.
We have a seven step process as follows:
Engage the management team and set goals
Scan the market and identify suitable firm
Approach the firm
Carry out assessment and due diligence
Prepare decision documents and agreements
Identify and introduce the appropriate partners
Close the deal.
Through our extensive personal relationships and network of contacts, we have developed a detailed VC / Private Equity and Banking Database. This contains up to date information on sector focus, transaction size and stages of investment. We use this database to assist management teams to find the appropriate debt, equity or mezzanine finance for a specific transaction.
We (our co-founders) have built a reputation for successfully (and confidentially) negotiating and resolving difficult situations, up to and including ‘NEOM’ City of the Future.
"We’re looking for innovation, hard work and promise, and have a strict criteria for selecting our next partners. While we only invest in a handful of companies a year, it means we can focus solely on those who we believe really have the founders, team and drive to succeed."
